I’ve started this modest forum for everyone who can afford a tiny luxury of time (at least occasionally) and mindscape to savor the process of making things by hand, and who are open to embracing mistakes, and continuing to tinker. By calling it “dextelicious life,” I hope to share ideas for employing our dexterity and sensory delights in creating something tangible you can enjoy – both the process and the result.
Main categories are knitting and cooking – both are highly accessible and yet call for different approaches: knitting can be done anywhere and anytime, and allows you to start over if you made a mistake or changed your minds by simply unravelling the yarn. Your creation can last for a long time; whereas with cooking, once you cut, cooked, or seasoned your ingredients, and didn’t like the results, it may not be easily salvageable, and it forces you to improvise and make the most out of what you’ve done. And the original form will not last, although once you eat your creation, it will become of part of you.
I do not solicit or accept advertising or sponsors for this site.
Hope we can all continue to mine what gives us joys in small and yet significant ways.
