Loving eucalyptus in winter

If you are unable to find attractive options for your flower arrangements in winter, you can grab a bunch of bright colored basic kind (like spray roses in this example) and a few bunches of eucalyptus to add a drama and aroma to your room. The type I like most is called seeded eucalyptus with light green pods and drapy leaves. Some of the pods have a tint of orange, which goes well with warm colored flowers.

You can grab a small branch by itself and place in a confined room like a powder room to give the room a fresh scent.

In a week or so when eucalyptus starts drying and taking on a “dusty” look, you can tie a few branches together and hang upside down in a shower. The steam activates and releases eucalyptus oil the air, allowing you to breath in soothing air.

A tiny delight in the dead of winter.
